Exciting News !! 2 Day Visceral Massage Therapy Training coming to Richland WA on Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, 2025.
Marty Ryan, of Love Your Guts Seminars, will be teaching a 4 module training over 2 days at Advanced Bodywork Education (ABE) Massage School in Richland, WA.
This 2-day course is a thorough exploration of the abdomen and pelvis specifically focusing on treating some of the common digestive and reproductive system complaints that your patients will present. This work will also explore applications to low back and pelvis pain including treatment of the coccyx.
2 days / two 4-hour modules each day / 16 contact hours for the entire weekend.
AM modules each day are 9am-1pm.
PM modules each day are 2pm-6pm.
Day 1 Schedule — Structural and Visceral Pelvis
AM module – Palpation and treatment of the structural pelvis
PM module – Palpation and treatment of the visceral pelvis
Clinical applications: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and urinary incontinence, dysmenorrhea, lower pelvis pain + bloating, tailbone pain, interstitial cystitis (IC) and frequent urinary track infections (UTI), benign prostate hypertrophy
Day 2 Schedule — Digestive System
AM module – palpation and treatment of the upper abdomen
PM module – palpation and treatment of the small and large intestine
Clinical applications: GERD, acid reflux, hiatal hernia, gastroparesis, upper right quadrant (URQ) pain and gall bladder stasis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), constipation, large bowl spasm, pain

Marty is a 30+ year manual therapy practitioner, with a full time private practice in Seattle WA.
He specializes in treating digestive system and reproductive system ailments + post surgery rehab, and often works together with functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, and acupuncture providers to provide more thorough care for patients.
Marty has also taught belly massage and palpatory anatomy seminars across the US and internationally since 2006 and has served on the faculty of the Seattle Massage School, the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a physiotherapy college in Poznan, Poland.
Marty’s classroom teaching style is often regarded as an open and fun learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate, learn and be heard.
