DESCRIPTION:Massage therapists need to be as skilled working in side lying as they are in prone and supine. Low back and hip conditions benefit immensely from work performed in side lying. But LMTs are often not taught to do side lying and they need guided practice to get comfortable. Come get comfortable with side-lying low back and hip work! I can’t tell you how many times I have worked on low back clients and have been told that NOBODY has worked them in side lying. SUMMARY:Neck Treatment: Emphasis on Cervical Side Lying Work
DESCRIPTION:Side-lying bodywork is an underutilized tool. When clients can’t lie supine for anterior neck work or anterior low back work\, side lying is the best option. Side lying is necessary for pregnancy work and is simply the best way to work adductors causing low back pain. All massage practitioners should be comfortable with side-lying massage. \nAll of these classes utilize massage theory\, kinesiology\, and hand on practice to present a logical and practical approach to working with greater intent\, specificity\, and competency.\n\nEach 4-hour class is $75 ($18.75/ credit hour). Take one or take all three.
